This summer our hearts are heavy with the passing of Delia Mellett Dever. This was her home as a young girl. The "Mellett family" haritage was founded here in Hollymount, Co. Mayo. Delia's father Patrick raised his family here after the passing of Michael and Bridget Mellett.
Now empty and worn with time the family home still holds memories of times that were hard and times that were dear. The Mellett family still dots the Irish country sides of many of the counties from west to east. Delia you were the history book of the Mellett family. You are missed greatly. You were a mother to so many that it will take time to heal from your absence.
